Frogs took my chunches

I never cease to be amazed at how much junk one accumulates; our storage spaces get filled up with the trinkets that surround us without it dawning on our conscious thoughts. This happens in real life where I am convinced everyone has a room full of stuff, or a garage or a shed in their back yards. In my home country we call this the "cuarto de los chunches". The word chunche [choon cheh] is one we invented here, or so I am told, giving it a variety of meanings and applying it universally to anything. It is both a noun and adjective in such a way that "stuff" would only cover half its meaning. In any case, we all accumulate chunches and our virtual lives in EvE are no exceptions.

And oh my god did I have a lot of shit to move about and most of it through chunks of low-sec or large expanses of NPC null-sec. This naturally presents the problem of getting it all safely to Hevrice, my new home, something I am half able to do as my hauler is still some ways from getting in her carrier. She can however fly a Viator.

Moving things from Podion to Hevrice was easy; I had mostly small ships and lots of mods and they all fit snugly in three Viator trips. The Viator is a beauty, able to travel safely even through the most fucked up of spaces. Only a bubble poses a serious threat and if you're careful, don't panic and do things right you can get away cleanly; elite tacklers in super fast ships are the Viator's bane if caught in a bubble. Outside one of those, there is nothing to stop you getting to your destination. So everything went without a hitch there.

The other problem, moving things from LJ- in Curse to Hevrice all the way to Verge Vendor, was the biggest and I knew that I could not do this in the Viator. More than a million cubic meters of rigged ships and mods meant lots of trips and that most of the big things wouldn't fit anyways. So I opted for a two pronged solution:

  1. Sell the battleships. I had to take the loss on the rigs but after stripping them of fittings I put the hulls on the local market at a good discount. All in all I'll make about a billion with the sales. Not bad.
  2. The special ships, like my bombers, interceptors, the Oneiros and my HAC's along with a tonne of modules I decided to transport using the frogs.
RedFrog and BlueFrog I have heard get your stuff transported throughout New Eden reliably so I thought I would use them; I was mistaken as they only operate in high security space. However they have a low-sec and null-sec arm called BlackFrog and after reading their page I was convinced that I had little to loose. The conditions seemed attractive with a minimum colateral (!) of one billion ISK and an interesting price. For my trip with about 300km3 of ships and stuff I'd pay 150million.  Peanuts really.

Now my things were worth just under the billion by my calculations, so even if things went out the window I'd have the value in money. Not a bad deal so I took it.

To my delight 24 hours later all my chunches are safely in Hevrice! BlackFrog Logistics get a two thumbs up from me, totally recommended. Now all I have to do is get it all blown up by other pirates!
